Welcome
Welcome to my website! Here you’ll find project logs, recipes, and ramblings on anything else I find interesting.
My personal goal is to use this site primarily as an engineering notebook for my technical projects.
Where to Start
On the right-hand side of the page there is a list of categories and tags. Every article on this site falls into
a single category (e.g. cooking, engineering) and may have one or more associated tags that act like sub-categories.
Clicking on a category will take you to a searchable page that lists all articles that fall under that category,
presented in chronological order based on publication date (tags behave in the same way). Just pick one that interests
you and start browsing!
About Me
I’m a Systems Engineer out of central Indiana. I have a B.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University, and am
currently working in the industrial automation sector. You can find much more comprehensive information about my
technical and professional background in my CV.
Title of This Site
I’m a licensed ham radio operator, which means that I am permitted by the FCC to broadcast on certain bands of the radio spectrum reserved for amateur radio. Every ham radio operator is given a callsign; a collection of letters and numbers unique to them that they are required to use to identify themselves on the air. Mine is KD9MES, hence the name of this website. Like many hams, I keep a handwritten logbook of contacts and experiments. I make a regular effort to transcribe my logbook to this site as well.
